My Story
I'm taking part in my first ever running event, exactly 1 year on from when I was in hospital receiving chemotherapy. Though I'm certainly no runner, it feels wonderful being back on my feet after my breast cancer diagnosis, and I wanted to give myself a new challenge!
Right now, almost six million older people in England are facing serious challenges, and 2.5m say they have no one to turn to when times get tough. Age UK are determined to be there, providing information, support, friendship and advice to older people most in need. But they need our help to make that happen. Help them to always be there.
